The Cultural Center
of the Philippines
Corporate Identity

GOAL

A government institution that preserves and promotes the country's arts and cultural past must project and image of forward thinking and modernity both in the local and international scene.

A picture may say a thousand words, but reputations are built on logos. This new corporate look aims to standardize the application of the logo so all departments will have a cohesive look for easy recognition and association.

KEY

A new corporate identity logo with a brand consisting of a portion of Philippine National Artist, Hernando Ocampo's Genesis (1969) and a plain gold field with a reverse rendition of the CCP logo on top and full company name at the bottom of the band. Genesis is an abstract painting of a flame in its fiery glory which was later rendered as a tapestry to serve as the the curtain for CCP's Main Theater. Aside from keeping the CCP logo, the close identification with the CCP is the reason behind utilizing the Genesis as the prominent element of the corporate logo so as not to drastically change and introduce a new image.

For standard application when it comes to use of the new corporate identity, a manual is devised for easy reference of all the departments of the company.

EXECUTION

A corporate trademark and application to all corporate, marketing, promotions and merchandizing materials was designed. In addition, a standard manual containing the rules on proper application of the logo, correct usage of the color and topography was developed. The Technical Supplements, or Color Swatches and CD file of the manual, was also provided.
